Biography
Dr. Marechek began his academic journey with undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego. He subsequently earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry, followed by his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Following medical school, Dr. Marechek secured his top-choice residency placement at Case Western Reserve University. This rigorous five-year program focused solely on facial surgery. Throughout his training, he served as a resident physician at University Hospitals and MetroHealth Medical Center—both demanding Level I trauma centers—where he acquired extensive experience in complex post-traumatic facial reconstruction.

His residency also included valuable time at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, providing exposure to some of the most intricate and challenging cases in facial surgery. To further deepen his expertise in aesthetic procedures, Dr. Marechek committed to an additional fellowship focused exclusively on facial cosmetic surgery, gaining comprehensive training in advanced surgical techniques.

Now based in Orange County, California, Dr. Marechek maintains a practice with operating privileges at Hoag Hospital and UCI Medical Center. His clinical focus includes facial aesthetic surgery, facial recontouring, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, and corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery. Dr. Marechek is committed to advancing his field through ongoing refinement of techniques, demonstrated by his contributions to peer-reviewed research and surgical textbook chapters. Furthermore, he actively participates in educating the next generation of surgeons, holding clinical faculty appointments at both UCI Medical Center and the UCLA Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Marechek enjoys an active lifestyle with pursuits like climbing, spearfishing, surfing, and sailing. He is a dedicated father who cherishes time spent with his family and their dog.
