Implants are a popular and effective solution for replacing missing teeth. They are small titanium posts that are surgically inserted into the jawbone to act as a replacement for the roots of missing teeth. Once the implant has fused with the jawbone, a replacement tooth, known as an abutment, is attached to the implant. This abutment is then used to support a dental crown, bridge, or denture. Implants can be used to replace a single tooth or multiple missing teeth and even an entire dental arch. We offer procedures such as all-on-4 or all-on-6, where a full arch of teeth can be replaced with just a few strategically placed dental implants.

The implant procedure typically involves two steps. The first step is the surgical placement of the implant into the jawbone. This is usually done under local anesthesia but may be done under sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the patient’s needs. After the implant has been placed, the patient will need to wait for the implant to integrate with the jawbone. This process can take several months.

The second step is the placement of the abutment and the final restoration, such as a crown or bridge. This step is done once the implant has fully integrated with the jawbone. The abutment is attached to the implant and then a custom-made restoration is placed on top.

Dental implants are a highly successful solution for replacing missing teeth. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth and can help to preserve the integrity of the jawbone and surrounding teeth. With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last a lifetime.
